Into the Faeforest
There are whispers of a Faeforest out past the mountains of The Furia. It is said that only the bravest of heart can pass through the sacred pools that surround this forest because the wild and beautiful mermaids will drag the unworthy into its depths. They are forced to live out their days in a punishment that is inappropriate to mention here.
The Faeforest is a sight to behold, its entrance marked by luscious green trees, and only the learned can recognize what the circle of Feeler mushrooms indicate- that your journey was not for naught. These Fae are the oldest, therefore the simplest of the Folk, choosing only to cultivate their mushrooms and wait for weary travelers to stumble, almost stupidly into their midst.
It was once said that these very Fae keep the skies blue and enable all life to flourish in the land, although I suspect that may be an exaggeration. Nonetheless, none of us can remember a time before the Fae and it is uncontested that the source of the world's magic thrums with a curious resonance only found in this enchanting forest.
Finding the Fae
Not only known for their great power, they also show great kindness and will grant whomever journeys into their midst whatever it is they desire- no tricks involved. The few who complete this arduous journey come to realize they always had everything they needed and this was the only reason they were able to complete this journey in the first place.
All who embark on this voyage leave with a prized token from the last and oldest fairy at the far edge of the forest. You must first cross the field of Fire Flowers (if you eat the entire flower INCLUDING root and seeds you will gain the ability to breathe fire for exactly 42 hours!) You must then wade barefoot through the shallow river where the Red Fairy will be waiting in her garden. She will pluck one of her mushrooms, and the owner will have a piece of magic forevermore. Are you brave enough to take the journey?
Thank you for reading!
As soon as I finished this set I knew I wanted to write a story to accompany them because they just gave me the feeling of falling into a storybook every time I looked at them! It is important for me to create nails that are durable and beautiful and as you can see I wear my exhibitions proudly every day (I wore them on a cruise!) I am proud to test myself and my limits and to see what new art pieces I can create <3
